Sometimes, a simple conversation and a five-minute health check can save a life.
No one understands that better than a local farmer who received a free health check from community paramedics at the Riddells Creek Farmers Market in the Macedon Ranges.
Paramedics at a farmers’ market would usually signal an emergency, causing concern among locals. However, this is not always the case which reflects acceptance of the growing presence of paramedics working in innovative, preventative roles outside of emergency services.
